Grades 5-12 Endorsements
These unique endorsements span across the middle and high school levels from grades five through 12. These teachers tend to teach a breadth of subjects and several course preparations at one time, and they can often be the only teacher or one of a small department. TAP is the only program in Vermont which prepares teaching candidates for these endorsements.
Endorsement Options
Business (Grades 5-12)
Teachers are prepared to teach a variety of topics in grades five through 12 including accounting, marketing, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and computer applications. Requirements include ample coursework and professional experience. There is no Praxis II exam for this endorsement.
Family and Consumer Science (FACS) (Grades 5-12)
Teachers are prepared to teach a variety of topics in grades five through 12 including child development, nutrition, wellness, food science, textile arts, and life and career planning. Requirements include ample coursework and professional experience. There is no Praxis II exam for this endorsement.
